Description

Big Yellow tea – despite an unpolished appearance, its floral and cinnamony profile will delight your taste buds. As the saying goes: Don’t judge a book by its cover. The long stems give the tea extra sweetness due to their higher concentration of sugars.

This is the most famous of yellow teas, with a history of over 400 years. The tea comes from Huoshan County in Anhui province. Tea connoisseurs know how to appreciate this surprising tea despite its unsightly appearance.

Due to their slight fermentation, yellow teas improve with age, thus becoming mellower. Today these teas are becoming rare because making them is time-consuming and requires a lot of skill. Few tea masters in China still specialise in making yellow tea.
